The Garden was a studio project aimed at creating a vibrant civic destination at the heart of Little Tokyo, adjacent to a new subway entrance. The project focused on activating the site through large-scale retail and dining programs, while maintaining openness and accessibility at the ground level. A prominent water wall defined the primary frontage, serving as both a visual landmark and environmental feature, while open-air spaces were designed to support community-centered activities, gatherings, and informal social use. The project emphasized urban engagement, permeability, and the creation of a lively public realm within a dense cultural district.
