My academic path in architecture has been shaped by a balance of technical rigor, interdisciplinary inquiry, and service. I earned an Associate in Science in Architectural Drafting and Design from Glendale Community College in August 2022, graduating with academic honors and multiple design certificates that grounded my work in precise drafting, design communication, and industry-standard practices. I continued with a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies, concentrating in architecture, philosophy, and education, where I was recognized with multiple service awards and the University President’s Award. During this time, I also worked as a tutor in architectural subjects and mathematics through trigonometry, reinforcing my commitment to mentorship and accessible learning.

I am currently pursuing a Master of Architecture, where my graduate work focuses on advanced studio practice, material research, and critical investigations into architectural education and inclusivity. This phase of my education integrates theory, practice, and pedagogy, allowing me to develop design work that is both conceptually driven and technically grounded. Together, these experiences reflect a trajectory rooted in iteration, teaching, and a belief that architecture is as much about how we learn and communicate as it is about what we build.

I am currently pursuing a Master of Architecture, where my graduate work centers on advanced design studios, material exploration, and critical research into architectural education and accessibility. The program emphasizes rigorous conceptual development alongside technical resolution, allowing my work to bridge theory, practice, and pedagogy. As a designer and studio owner, I have produced schematic, design, and drafting documents for residential and renovation projects, including an ADA-accessible residence in Burbank and a mountain home in Yucca Valley. This work has included client coordination, technical documentation, and the fabrication of 3D-printed architectural models and miniatures, allowing projects to move fluidly between concept, representation, and physical production. In parallel, I have worked in administrative and technical roles producing site plans, exterior layouts, and formal reports for inspections and real-estate transactions, balancing precision, regulatory compliance, and workflow coordination.

Alongside professional practice, I have built extensive experience in academic support, community engagement, and military service. My military service as a U.S. Army Technical Engineering Specialist provided a foundation that closely aligns with architectural and design practice. Trained in surveying, manual and CAD drafting, aerial photo interpretation, and materials testing, I developed a disciplined approach to technical documentation, spatial analysis, and precision-based problem solving. During my deployment to Iraq from 2008 to 2009, where I worked as an intelligence analyst, I applied analytical thinking, data synthesis, and clear visual communication in high-pressure environments. Together, these experiences reinforced skills in accuracy, coordination, and systems thinking that continue to inform my work in design, drafting, and research-driven architectural practice.

During my time at Clark Pest Control, I worked in an administrative and support role that combined office operations with technical documentation and client coordination. I produced site plans and exterior layouts for inspection and treatment reports, wrote and finalized detailed technical documentation for homeowners and real estate transactions, and ensured accuracy and compliance with professional standards. The position required managing schedules, coordinating between inspectors, technicians, and clients, handling billing and past-due accounts, and supporting sales efforts through clear communication. This role strengthened my organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to translate field conditions into clear, professional documentation.

The Future

Prior to graduate school, I operated a design-focused business providing drafting, design services, and custom production support, managing projects from early concept through technical resolution, 3D modeling, digital fabrication, and the creation of custom models and artifacts. This work strengthened my abilities in client collaboration, project management, and precision-driven making. Following graduate school, I plan to relaunch and rebrand the business in summer 2026 with expanded services that further integrate research, fabrication, and print-based work. In parallel, my post-graduate goals include continuing research into design, education, and accessibility, while pursuing opportunities to teach at both the high school and university levels, bridging practice, scholarship, and mentorship.
