Ocean View

Ocean View was a competition project completed at Glendale Community College and hosted by the Glendale Community College Architecture Club, of which I was a member. The task was to design a residence within a given small rectangular footprint, which could be sited anywhere of the designer’s choosing. I chose to locate the project in Ventura, California, along the harbor area, where the views are peaceful and the environment is notably quiet. The home includes two bedrooms and is primarily focused on framing views toward the harbor and ocean from the main living spaces. The design prioritizes visual connection to the surrounding landscape, allowing the exterior context to shape the experience of the interior spaces.
